The Decline of Social Media?

Tik Tok bans, oversaturated content, the never-ending advertisements for things you don’t care about, never seeing your REAL friends/followers content online, the endless harassment and unchecked bullying… where does it end? Where do we go from here? The Forbidden Bazaar has always had issues with censorship (fun fact: we have been banned from EVER advertising since 2016 because we posted a photo of a girl in boy shorts and a sports bra!) and it’s getting even worse, now we can’t post photo albums any more without them getting flagged by bots. The cover photo for this blog post is one of our most tame images and was flagged multiple times (promoting tobacco use, promoting eating disorders, flagged for being “unsafe” etc…).
We plan to make more of a presence on this website to support those who choose to retreat from Meta platforms.
You’ll start seeing photo albums here, and more blog posts. We will try to create an interactive space for all of us. We mean it when we say “You ARE The Forbidden Bazaar”- we literally could not do it without you, nor would we want to.
